I never thought I would be very good at playing this game but as i started playing I learned I was better than thought. I love playing this game and highly recomend it.
When I heard of guitar hero, I was not very impressed. $200 for a game and fake guitar. Then I started to take guitar lessons (not because of gh)a[.]. I have to say it is great fun, even if you are not a guitar player (not to say playing guitar in real life and playing gh is the same thing). At this price it is well worth it.
whoever sold me this sold me a broken product. Sometimes the button works and other times it doesn't. I recieved the bundle ahead of the earliest date. The guitar on the game, one of the buttons is finicky. I got the game and thats good but they sold me something different then what I paid for. Even after not recieving contact from the seller when I requested some communication, they never came to my aid.
This game is a little hinky on playstation III.Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. But when itworks, it's a great game. Very addictive.
I always saw them and knew that people loved the games but was never really interested. 'jazz it up' a little bit. Can't add what others have about the actual game, so maybe I'll just mention my own experiences & what I liked. It has a pretty good tutorial section which should help the dexterity challenged like myself figure out the 'keys' and that there are a few different difficulty levels also makes it a much more fun experience. 'what the heck', and took a chance with it. Well, it's perhaps not a 'fraction' now, but it was still much much cheaper for the bundle. Thanks to a certain large, national electronics retailer that closed it's doors for good a few weeks ago (initials C.C)., there were several of these on the shelf and pretty deeply cut prices. The actual game itself is also pretty fun.
Since it's now significantly less expensive than the new "World Tour" edition, which has other products included, you hopefully wouldn't feel too jobbed if you got it and ended up not liking it since I know this won't be everyone's favorite thing. It's easy to set up and use, and it's great that the guitar/controller is wireless since I understand that the old ones weren't. There are all kinds of tracks onlnie that you can download as well, and the guitar is useful for other music games on the market for the PS3 like "Rock Band", etc. There's even a shoulder strap with it and some stickers for those that might want to. But seeing the game at a fraction of the price it was here or in other stores, I figured. Perhaps the only thing I didn't like too much were the actual battles but you can actually move beyond them.
It was sort of cool to open the box up and see this little black guitar. well. I think this is an excellent game to start with for anyone that's a little curious about the music games on any of the systems. With 'you know who' out of business, it might be tough to find a better deal on a new one but this edition shouldn't be too pricey anymore.
